Tissuepatch

TissuePatch™ is a synthetic, self-adhesive surgical sealant for the avoidance and resolution of leaks in surgery. It is particularly effective in adjunctive closure of tissue to minimise blood, saliva and chyle leaks during ENT surgery procedures.

TissuePatch™ is fully synthetic, containing no human, bovine or porcine material.

It is multi-layered, incorporating structural and adhesive absorbable components.

The active component within TissuePatch™ is Tissuemed’s proprietary TissueBond™ bioadhesive technology. This bonds the film to proteins on the tissue surface within a minute, providing immediate support and an effective airtight closure during the natural healing process.

TissuePatch™ requires no advance preparation and can be applied straight from the pack.

TissuePatch™ is transparent, allowing post-application wound visualisation..

At only 40 microns thick, TissuePatch™ delivers an effective therapeutic solution for only a tiny amount of foreign material.

It is available in a range of sizes and shapes and can be cut to shape to suit clinical requirements.

Purpose

TissuePatch™ is indicated to seal and reinforce against leaks during surgical repair of the tissues in ENT Surgery.

Tissuemed has extensive experience using Tissuepatch in ENT surgery; thyroid surgery, neck resections, parotid surgery and laryngectomy.

By helping surgeons to achieve watertight closure the product helps in the avoidance of post-operative complications associated with saliva and chylous leaks. This means it can contribute to shorter patient stays and reduced healthcare costs.
