The device is suitable for measuring, evaluating and increasing the strength and endurance of the tongue and lips for patients with oral motility disorders, such as dysphagia, dysarthria and obstructive sleep apnea, and is used in conjunction with the IOPI Pro device.

The maximum pressure value (Pmax) is essential for creating an effective treatment plan. Pmax can only be measured using the IOPI® Pro device.

The main purpose of the IOPI Trainer is to allow the continuation of treatment at home or in the doctor's office. This allows the patient to be more independent after the initial guidance from the healthcare professional.

The IOPI Trainer is designed to be easy for the patient to use. There are only two buttons intended for use by the patient: the button to turn the device on and off and the button to reset the successful repetition count displayed on the screen. These buttons are colored yellow to make them easily visible to the patient.
