General System Description

Aprevent VOIS is a comprehensive, innovative, long-term endolaryngeal implant system designed for the treatment of unilateral vocal cord paralysis (UVFP) and glottal insufficiency. The system is used in Type I Thyroplasty procedures to achieve complete glottis cleft closure.

Each implant consists of three (3) basic integrated parts:

1. Titanium Housing: Medical grade, which incorporates a chamber and a special membrane.
2. Fixation Plate with Screw: For the safe and stable retention of the implant in the thyroid cartilage.
3. Adjustable Silicone Chamber: Which allows its volume to be changed both intraoperatively and postoperatively through the injection or aspiration of saline, without requiring a new surgical procedure.

Detailed Types and Sizes of Implants

Implants should be available in four (4) basic sizes (XS, S, M, L) to accommodate the different anatomical dimensions of the patients' larynx.

(Note: Implants are made of hypoallergenic medical grade materials – Medical Grade Titanium, Silicone and PET suture).
