Nasal irrigation system (kit 60)

Brand:

Nasal irrigation system (kit 60)

The NeilMed  Sinus Rinse is a washing system and not a spray. In this way, it covers the entire nasal cavity. The user has full control of the pressure-flow, resulting in the maximum volume of solution being provided in each use, while offering comfort and effectiveness, depending on the needs, peculiarities, and uniqueness of each one. The solution during application comes out of the other nostril, without swallowing the solution and nasal secretions.

Sinus Rinse is used worldwide and has been clinically proven to be an effective way to treat and reduce nasal symptoms such as: Nasal symptoms from colds, flu, allergic rhinitis, nasal congestion, feeling of pressure and stuffiness in the nose, allergies from dust-pollen, animal dander, etc. as well as after nasal surgery.

How to Use:

Step 1: Wash your hands. Fill the clean bottle with the specified volume of distilled, microfiltered (0.2 micron filter), reverse osmosis filtered, commercially bottled water, or water that has been previously boiled and cooled. *You may heat the water in the microwave for 5 to 10 second intervals to avoid overheating the water, damaging the device, or burning your nasal passages.

Step 2: Cut the corner of the SINUS RINSE™ sachet and add the contents to the bottle. Tighten the cap and tube firmly onto the bottle. Place a finger over the edge of the cap and shake the bottle gently to dissolve the mixture. Always rinse the nasal passages only with NellMed® SINUS RINSE® sachets.

Step 3:In front of a sink, lean forward in a comfortable position and tilt your head downward. With your mouth open, without holding your breath, insert the stopper fully into your nasal passage. GENTLELY PRESS THE BOTTLEuntil the solution begins to come out of the OTHER nasal passage. Some of the solution may flow out of your mouth. To rinse properly, continue to GENTLY squeeze the bottle until 1/4 to 1/2 (60 mL to 120 mL or 2 to 4 fl oz) of the bottle is used for SINUS RINSE® or half of that amount for SINUS RINSE KIDS. Do not swallow the solution.

Step 4: Blow your nose gently, without squeezing it all the way, to avoid putting pressure on your eardrums. If tolerated, gently inhale any solution in your nasal cavity once or twice through your nose, as this can help clear the posterior nasopharyngeal area, the area at the back of your nasal passage. Sometimes, some solution may enter the back of your throat, which you should spit out. To remove any remaining solution, blow your nose gently while tilting your head forward and to the other side of the nasal passage you were rinsing.

Step 5: Repeat steps 3 and 4 for the other nasal passage. Most users find that rinsing your nose twice a day is beneficial, just like brushing your teeth. Many doctors recommend that rinsing your nose 3-4 times a day or, for special circumstances, up to 6 times a day is safe. Follow your doctor's advice.

Step 6: Clean the bottle and cap. Allow the SINUS RINSE™ bottle, cap and tubing to air dry on paper towels, a lint-free towel, or use the NeilMed® NasaDOCK®plus (sold separately) to store the bottle, cap and tubing.
